How will Hunger affect learning habits?

We have always been told, "you are what you eat". I essentially believe that is true, not in the physical case of course but in the chemical compositions that make up our body. Numerous studies have shown the effects of different eating habits on the ability to learn. According to a recent statistical information about 45 percent of children's mortality is caused by malnutrition. Without proper nutritions, a child's brain can not function properly and grow to its full potential.

"Be The Change You Wish To See In The World" - Mahatma Gandhi

People often underestimate life. We are surrounded in world where no conflict solves, and no success can be achieved easily. With a single problem we tend to wear out, not knowing the causes and the solution. With a one-sided perspective we do not see others, too, have problems similar or different to ours. We are not alone. We can change the world by solving one problem at a time. We can change the world by being the voice of the problems and the founder of the solutions.
Now you might think, "how is this blog relevant to me?" and say "Are not all these statements just mere clichés?". Your answer is NO. This blog will serve as an advocate for a change I personally think is important. What that is? Children's rights and opportunities. More specifically, I will be focusing on those who sleep with an empty stomach. I will be focusing on those who lack focus to study due to hunger. I will be focusing on those who do not have learning opportunities and incentives. I will be the voice of a change for those who are the future citizens of this world.
Who am I? I am a junior currently enrolled in a public high school. I am one of those who have vast opportunities to succeed in life. I am lucky enough to have a good family whose supportive of me. However, the idea that all these could be the exact opposite leads me to my final statement. That is that, I have seen and talked to vulnerable children numerous times and now I have decided to be the advocate. Now I have decided to be the change.
